Unseen Seattle
A portrait series exploring the lives of Seattle residents who are often invisible to the city's tech-driven narrative — day laborers, unhoused individuals, immigrant families.
Seattle is a city of extraordinary wealth and innovation. It is also a city of deep inequality, where the distance between a tech campus and an encampment can be measured in blocks.
This series looks at the Seattle that does not make the headlines — the workers, the elders, the newcomers, the people who keep the city running but rarely appear in its story.
Every person in these photographs agreed to be seen. Their stories deserve attention — not sympathy, but attention.
